Having studied mechanical engineering for 4 years allows me to design products that work well and not just look good.
Having my own 3D printer available means that I can quickly prototype ideas it also has resulted in being quite skillful with the device.
Because it's important to have prototypes working quickly this also an important skill. Using microcontrollers and code effectively this can be done with relative ease.
My name is Abel Johan Habenga Gerritse and I'm an aspiring Creative Technologist and a Mechanical Engineer.
In 2013 I started the Bachelor Creative Technology at the University of Twente.
So far I'm a Mechanical Engineer and have had a go at Industrial Designer. Being able to combine these things with the new skill I'm acquiring here, makes me a effective Creative Technologist.
Though this is a bit presumptuous since I just started the study, I think it'll be true soon enough.
I also work at Applied Concept Technologies this is a company I started with my friends, where we produce custom to semi-custom carbon fiber equipment. Though we have just started, I think there is a lot of potential to use my newly acquired skills here as well. Drop me line if your interested in any of the things I do or have done.
